I am a playwright and director living in New York City's East Village. I teach theatre at NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

As one of my personal goals for 2011, I started this blog to develop a writing habit. It was a great way to hold myself accountable to write every week (or try to at least) and to practice articulating my ideas to a larger audience. I cover topics ranging from my own creative process to my thoughts on current events.

My new challenge for 2012 is to write a short play each week and post it on this blog. I'm calling it "50 Plays in 2012," as I'm starting in week 3 of the year. I hope you'll follow along and let me know what you think.
